On The Road — Now Open at Versus Arts Gallery, London
Return From The Tide
Today marks the opening of On The Road, a group exhibition organised by Versus Arts at 114A Lower Clapton Road, London. I am glad to have my work included in this show, which runs from 11th to 25th July 2026.
The piece I am showing, Return From The Tide, is a photograph from The Labour of Rivers. a body of work documenting the daily life of a fisherman along the Andoni River waterways in Rivers State, Nigeria. The series follows the rhythm of a single working day, from the stillness of early morning on the water to the close of evening labour. It is work about persistence, about the quiet dignity of a life organised entirely around a river.
Being part of On The Road means this work is now being seen in London, and that is something I do not take lightly. This exhibition is curated by Professor Zuhal Ozel Saglamtimur and brings together artists from diverse geographies, a context that feels right for work rooted in a place most people in that room will never have stood.
If you are in London between now and the 25th of July, the exhibition is open at Versus Arts, 114A Lower Clapton Road, E5 0QR.
