Chukwudi Nwachukwu (b. 1999) is a Nigerian photographer and filmmaker born in Lagos and raised in the vibrant, industrious city of Aba, Abia State. He holds a B.A. in Mass Communication from Abia State University, Uturu.
Growing up in southeastern Nigeria, he developed a fascination with the relationship between people and their environments, and the stories embedded within everyday life. His practice spans documentary and fine art photography, exploring themes of memory, labour, identity, and resilience.
Working primarily with natural light and atmospheric framing, Nwachukwu seeks to preserve overlooked cultural narratives and the quiet realities of contemporary African life. Whether through documentary or fine art photography, his work is rooted in a commitment to observing and interpreting lived experience with sensitivity and depth.
His work has been featured by People of Print, Guzangs (The Guzangs Eye), and Africans Column.
